Car Servicing in Swindon
Regular servicing is the cheapest way to avoid big repair bills. At our West Swindon workshop off Redposts Drive we carry out full and mini (interim) services on all makes and models, from small city cars to family diesels and vans.
Every service follows the manufacturer's schedule, uses the correct-specification oil and parts, and is recorded so your service history stays complete, whether your car has a paper book or a digital record.
When is your car due a service?
- The service reminder or spanner light has come on
- It has been 12 months or around 10,000–12,000 miles since the last full service
- You cover lots of short trips or motorway miles and want an interim check in between
- You're buying or selling a car and want a complete service history
- The car feels different: new noises, vibration, or the oil level keeps dropping

- Air, cabin (pollen) and fuel filters on a full service, as required

Questions drivers ask
Full & Mini Service: FAQs
Will servicing at an independent garage affect my manufacturer warranty?
No. Under UK Block Exemption rules you don't have to use a main dealer to keep your warranty, as long as the car is serviced to the manufacturer's schedule with parts of matching quality and the work is recorded. We follow the schedule for your make and model and update your service history.
What is the difference between a full service and a mini (interim) service?
A mini or interim service covers the essentials (oil and oil filter change plus key safety checks) and is ideal every six months or 6,000 miles for high-mileage drivers. A full service is more comprehensive, adding filter replacements and a wider inspection, and is usually due every 12 months or 12,000 miles.
How long does a car service take?
Most interim services take around one to two hours and a full service around three to four hours, depending on the vehicle. Drop the car off in the morning and it is usually ready the same day.
Do you service all makes and models?
Yes. We service petrol, diesel and hybrid cars and small vans from all major manufacturers, including Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Nissan, Peugeot and Renault.
